During her internship, Inês worked as a trainee solicitor in Lisbon, where she gained extensive expertise in banking credit law, mortgage legal analysis, and real estate transactions. In 2022, she returned to her hometown of Lagos, Algarve, where she further developed her skills in succession law, tax law, and labor law.

The Golden Visa program, officially known as the Residence Permit for Investment (ARI), has undergone significant changes in Portugal. In October 2023, the government ended the option to obtain a Golden Visa through real estate investments to curb speculation and make housing more accessible in major cities.

Currently, eligible investment options for the Golden Visa include:

• Investment Funds: A minimum investment of €500,000 in venture capital funds supporting sectors like technology and industry.

• Job Creation: Establishing a business that creates at least 10 jobs in Portugal.

• Scientific or Technological Research: A capital transfer of €500,000 or more to research institutions.

• Cultural or Heritage Preservation: A minimum contribution of €250,000 to Portuguese cultural heritage preservation projects.
